Link Building Strategies That Work Time And Time Again

Link building continues to be just as important as ever when it comes to building your site’s reputation online and improving search engine rankings. Read on for a few classic link building strategies that work time and time again.

Ask for the link. This is so simple; it seems a little silly, doesn’t it? Well don’t dismiss the power of politely asking for something. Many websites and blogs are happy to help out if they’re just asked nicely.

Answer Questions. Everyone is an expert on something. Why not give back and share your knowledge, all while implementing your link building plan at the same time? Answer questions at Yahoo! Answers or similar sites and place your site’s link in your signature. These backlinks will almost always be tagged with the no-follow tag, but experts know that they can still drive traffic.

Be A Blog Citizen. Actively and respectfully participating in blog commentary and conversation is a great link building strategy. But be sure to actually add value and stay on topic, or your comments will be regarded as spam. Again, these links may or may not be tagged as no-follows, but they’ll still have value either way.

Write Useful Articles. A long-popular method of building incoming links, and a very reliable and successful method at that, is writing articles that contain your link in the footer and submitting them to several popular article directory sites. Usually, by doing this, you’ll also be permitting other sites to use these articles freely as long as they keep your signature and link as specified within in the article. Write quality, useful articles and this favorite link building strategy can really snowball!

Create Link Bait. Find some type of topic that your site or blog already expertly represents and either create new, highly linkable content or commission it to be created on your behalf. By saying highly linkable content, this means something that would be really popular to visitors in your niche. For example, “101 ways to do yada, yada, yada” will likely attract plenty of incoming links throughout your site’s niche once you’re able to get the word out.

Seek Out Local Links. Many link builders don’t end up thinking about this angle, but links are links right? If you happen to be a member of your local area Chamber of Commerce, or similar trade groups, be sure an active hyperlink to your site is presented on all such sites. Also, you might be able to score some high authority links from local newspapers and media too. Link building is always easier when you’re familiar with the territory.

Using keywords to search engine enhance your blog

If you want to build high traffic to your blog, then you need to pay attention to Search Engine optimization techniques. One such technique that you need to pay attention to is that of choosing your keywords properly so that you are sure that they are relevant to your blog.

Using relevant keywords in your blog posts is a very simple, very common way in which to optimize your blog’s Search Engine rankings. Unfortunately, not everyone who blogs agrees upon the best ways to use relevant keywords. There are some who will tell you that your keywords need to be used often in order to create a high keyword density. Yet others will tell you that you should keep your keyword density between 1 and 3% while paying attention to where your keywords are placed. There are others who will tell you that simply using relevant keywords naturally in your writing is sufficient.

Regardless of the strategy you use, make sure that you research relevant keywords so that you are aware of the search terms that are typically used by Internet users when researching your topic. Fortunately, there are a lot of programs available that generate lists of keywords that are related to your particular topic.

This will provide you with other keywords that you should consider incorporating into your blog.  For instance, if you are writing a blog about gardening, you may want to use additional keywords such as “container gardening” or “home gardening” to attract more interest from Search Engine users.
